BSN otherwise known as Bio-Engineered Supplements & Nutrition, Inc recently hosted their second annual employee appreciation day and charity fundraiser. This year the event was a Vegas style fundraiser and employees were able to enjoy such casino games as craps, roulette and blackjack and at the same time raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Players were not competing for their bet or a cash prize they were competing for raffle tickets. So if you won your wager in craps, then you would get a ticket o the raffle to win a prize. All proceeds from the event went toward the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital which helps treat children with cancer.
The event was such as success that the company was able to raise $24,000 more than last year. The employees really seemed to enjoy being able to play at the craps table and play their best hand of poker. Several vendors sponsored the event by offering up products for prizes. Such companies included: Men’s Health, Maxim, Lions Gate Entertainment, Carmi Flavors and many more.
The director of marketing of BSN commented on the event by stating: “We’re honored to support such a worthy cause as St. Judes, for the second year in a row. Their commitment to children battling catastrophic disease is truly rewarding to be a part of. We hope BSN’s donations will go a long way in improving the lives of those St. Jude’s touches.”
“St. Jude Children’s Hospital is appreciative to be chosen for a second year as BSN’s charity of choice,” stated Wanda Brill the associate director of St. Jude’s Miami Office. “The hospital’s daily operating costs are $1.6 million, which are primarily covered by public contributions. Thanks to contributions like BSN’s, St. Jude can continue conducting basic and clinical research and treatment into catastrophic childhood diseases, mainly cancer.”
