It was recently announced that Caesars Entertainment will have one of their affiliates building a new casino in the state of Maryland. CBAC Gaming has now been given a casino license in the state of Maryland for a proposed casino which will be located in Baltimore in the downtown area.
The new building will be named Harrah’s Baltimore and will have a large selection of slot games. almost 4,000 slot games will be placed in the facility and hopefully table games will be added as well. A special session is planned for the general assembly in the state to see if they will be creating legislation for table games which will include craps, blackjack, roulette and other games.
If the casino will have the ability to add table gaming options, they are sure to be much more successful. Gamblers like variety and even though slot games are popular, tabling gaming options is what makes a casino a Casino.
The proposed casino is expected to open in 2014 though the exact month is unknown. The casino would be the fifth property that the state of Maryland has allowed to open and gain licensing. A slot gaming facility is planned for Rocky Gap and other locations that have licenses are Ocean Downs, Perryville and Arundel Mills.
The Assembly is scheduled to meet on August 9th to be able to decide if a sixth casino will be built for Prince George County. The assembly will also use this time to decide on the table gaming issue. Adding the table gaming options would make the casinos more profitable as well as more competitive to facilities in neighboring states. Hopefully, the decision will be made to add the table games so gambling opportunities in the state will be open.
