Cleveland to open casino dealer school

Ohio voters recently voted to approve a measure to bring casinos to the state. This decision has seen many residents from the state going to Michigan to receive dealer training so they can find a job when the casinos are opened. But in the near future, residents will not have to travel so far because the state is going to open their own dealer school.

The ABC School of Bartending and Casino College has been around for over a decade in Michigan and students learn to deal cards, manage a game of blackjack, count chips and other skills needed to hold a job at the casino. The school has a bartending branch in Columbus and soon casino courses will be added to that school. The company is also preparing to open a new school in Cleveland, Ohio next spring.

Jobs are scarce in the area so when the casinos do open many will be trying to earn a spot. Those who can attend the casino schools will have an advantage when the application process begins. The new casinos will be built in the Cleveland, Columbus, Toledo and Cincinnati areas.
