Richard “Mr. Casino” Taylor, the man behind a huge craps cheating scheme, recently collapsed during a court appearance. Taylor was in court in New London this past week when he collapsed and was taken to the hospital. Taylor fell to the floor and vomited and then Judge Susan B. Handy cleared the courtroom and ordered marshals to dial 911. Medical technicians arrived soon after and gave Taylor oxygen and took him to the hospital.
Taylor was treated and in good condition when he was released and sent back to the Department of Correction. Taylor was convicted in May during the craps cheating trial in which he was the ring leader. Taylor has a reputation for showing out when he visited the casinos and was appealing his sentence this past week. Taylor has spoken of his innocence and stated to public defender Bruce Sturman that he wanted to be heard.
The judge asked Taylor if he wanted to be heard and that was when Taylor made a mumbling noise and then swayed and fell to the ground. Luckily Taylor was treated and released at the hospital and will most likely be in court to try and appeal his sentence.
