When it comes to gambling, most players have a good time whether they win or lose. The simple thrill of playing is enough. However sometimes there are gamblers at a casino who cannot stand to lose and when they run out of money they tend to try and scam the casino to be able to continue gambling. Despite the risk, there are still people in the world who try to rob the casino of chips and cash. That is exactly what happened recently in Pennsylvania. Joseph Valentino Monroe age twenty of Washington, Pennsylvania, was apparently paying close attention at craps game play at the Meadows Casino. However he was not watching the wheel he was watching his fellow players. He noticed that one player had placed his jacket on the floor and the jacket had cash in the pockets.
Monroe was seen on the surveillance video footage picking up the jacket and looking through the pockets. He found the cash in the pocket and then took off. He left in a dark colored sedan and police have now issued a warrant for his arrest.
The amount of cash in the jacket pocket was around $1,500 and the owner would like to get the cash back. The police force is hoping that the criminal has told someone what he has done and that they will come forward. Anyone who has any information is encouraged to contact the Meadows Casino in Pennsylvania.
This is not the first time a fellow player has stolen from another and it will most likely not be the last. Players should always be aware of their surroundings at a casino whether it is at the bar, a gaming table, slot machines or any other area, to remain safe.
