When players enjoy the game of craps or any other casino game online, they want to feel as though they are being treated fairly. According to two gambling statisticians, at least two online casinos are not being fair to their craps players, essentially cheating them during game play. Both Michael Shackleford a gambling consultant and Eliot Jacobson, the operator of Jacobson Gaming, state that BLR Technologies uses software which detects players bet and increases their chances of losing the roll.
SportsBookReview, an online rating service, states that both Legends and World Wide Wagering use the BLR software, which means their craps players are being treated unfairly. 5Dimes used to use the software but they dropped it after they viewed studies conducted by Shackleford’s website.
The general manager of Legends, Rachel Miller, commented on the allegations and said that the Legends site uses software that treats players fairly. Miller also stated that the company she works for has invested thousands in new random number generators that will work with the software at BLR. However, Miller also stated that she could not disagree or agree with the Statisticians findings because they did not test the craps games available at Legends.
Because of their findings, both Jacobson and Shackleford both feel as though the case involving BLR could help the regulation of online gambling in the United States. Shackleford commented: “it only goes to show that when there’s no regulation, there’s nothing to stop these types of things from happening.”
