The new casino that is under construction in Toledo is getting ready to hire new table game dealers. Hollywood Casino Toledo is planning on taking applications for four to five hundred dealers for games such as craps, roulette and blackjack. The casino is being constructed for $300 million and is set to open next spring. The dealer jobs will pay $16 to $22 per hour and that does not include tips, so a successful dealer could make a great living at the new casino.
The casino is planning on hiring one hundred dealers by Octobers end and then they will send these applicants to Owens Community College which offers dealer training. The applicants will go to college to learn how to deal table games for five days a week and classes will last twenty hours. Applicants will take classes on the game of blackjack and other games as well, such as craps and roulette.
The casino is going to be hiring the table game dealers in groups of one hundred and most of the hires will be from the Toledo area. The casino will be hiring full time dealers as well as part time dealers. Full time dealers will work around forty hours a week and part time dealers will work thirty two hours maximum.
Those who excel at the game of blackjack will be able to move on to work at the harder table games such as craps and roulette. Applicants will have to be able to learn the skills of the table games as well as have a great attitude, personality and great demeanor.
The casino is planning on hiring over one thousand employers and they are starting with the dealers first. The dealers will have to endure longer training times so they will be the first to come on board at the casino.
