Many states in the US have started adding table games to their casinos. The states have made the decision to change legislation to begin adding the new games and the latest state to join the trend is Maryland. Since Pennsylvania and Delaware have added the table games, Maryland will need to do so as well if they want to stay in the game. Baltimore mayor Stephanie c. Rawlings-Blake is the latest politician to become a supporter of the table games for the state. Her reason for the games is that Maryland casino would remain relevant.
"I'm not fighting internally about whether or not table games are a good or bad thing for the city," said Rawlings-Blake, "I think the revenue will help us be more competitive."
Opponents of the table games argue that there are other social costs that will occur if the games are added. However Rawlings-Blake does not agree as you can see in her above quote. In all likelihood since the surrounding states offer the table games it should not be long before Maryland casinos add the games as well.
