Yet another Pennsylvania casino has filed for an application to begin offering table games. Mount Airy filed their application this past Monday to begin offering the newly approved games such as craps, blackjack and roulette. This year the state passed legislation to allow slots parlors to add table games to their casinos. Mount Airy wants to add fifty four table games including blackjack, craps, roulette and mini-baccarat. These games would be placed on the main floor while poker will be added to the third floor.
"The introduction of table games is not only important for Monroe County, it's significant for the entire Commonwealth of Pennsylvania," Mount Airy owner Dr. Lisa DeNaples said. "Table games will allow the entire state the opportunity for economic growth and financial viability."
Mount Airy would be adding around 250 jobs if the application is approved. A public input hearing will be held in Paradise Township by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board before the application will be considered. The board has sixty days to render their approval of the application.
