The month of March was a good month for Nevada Casinos as they won 5.1 percent more for the month than the year 2010. The higher percent is due largely in part to the increase of what gamblers managed to lose at table games such as craps, roulette, blackjack and baccarat. Baccarat was the big money pull in for Nevada Casinos as it brought in fifty five percent of the totals. The game earned over $82 million statewide. Craps, roulette and blackjack also pulled in double digit figures for the month of March.
The Nevada Casinos total games win for March was over $325 million which is an increase of 20.5 percent. Mike Lawton an analyst for the Gaming Control Board commented that this is the first time since summer of 2007 that game win totals could have been up without baccarat. Lawton says the March totals are a good sign that the gambling market is recovering.
Although the gaming totals were up for the state, many casinos did see drops in wins. Such casinos were South Shore casino, North Lake Tahoe, Washoe and Reno. The percentages for these casinos were down but the state still managed to stay on the up with their totals.
Hopefully the totals are a sign that gambling is back in action in the state. This would not only be good for casinos but also for gamblers. Nevada is THE place for gambling and players always enjoy hitting the best casino and playing the table games such as craps, blackjack, roulette and baccarat, along with many others.
