Penn National Gaming Inc. is waiting on voters to approve table games this Saturday. The gaming company will then be able to install table games such as craps and roulette to the Charles Town Races and Slots which they own. The question to approve the games is on the ballot and it will be voted on Saturday. So if just a few days Penn National will know if they will be able to install the games or not. If approved, Charles Town will be installing Craps, roulette, blackjack and poker.
Penn National owns nineteen sites and will be offering table games as early as the third quarter of 2010. The company owns Freehold Raceway in New Jersey and the Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course among other sites.
At Charles Town, the addition of table games would create 500 jobs, 350 of which would be for dealers. This would add to the already 1,200 people employed at the race track. Each of the table games will need multiple dealers to work at each table dealing cards for patrons.
