Penn National Gaming recently announced that they will be renaming their facility in West Virginia. The Charles Town Gaming and entertainment facility will be named Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races. The name change will take place in July as the property changes to a full casino. The facility will be introducing table games such as craps and blackjack as well as other amenities. Al Britton the General Manager for the facility announced the new name change and upgrade plans at a recent luncheon.
Britton commented: “The Hollywood Casino brand has been very successful for Penn National in the Pennsylvania, Indiana, Baton Rouge, Maine, Mississippi Gulf Coast and Aurora, Illinois markets. With the introduction this summer of table games -- including blackjack, craps, roulette, baccarat, and poker -- expanded Hollywood decor, atmosphere and new entertainment offerings, this will be the perfect time to utilize this valuable brand. Importantly, as we expand to a full service casino and add new features and amenities, we are focused on preserving the rich tradition of racing that has been part of Charles Town for the last 77 years."
The new facility will have nine table game areas with a total of eighty five games. Twelve types of games will be featured including: craps, blackjack, roulette, mini baccarat and pai gow poker.
