Cheating is prevalent at land casinos especially when it comes to table games. There are many ways for a player to cheat the casino and they will try every option they have to earn money on the sly. It is not uncommon for players to try and cheat the casino but in Pennsylvania officials over gaming do not seem to be too worried about players trying to cheat. State regulators in Pennsylvania have stated that cheating has not been a problem at the casinos even with the addition of table games such as craps and roulette last year. Just last week three members of the gaming control board visited a casino in the state. They went to the Presque Isle Downs & Casino and over time the officials have toured all of the ten casinos in the state.
The members took to a statewide tour, viewing all of the table games and checking out the casinos. They have not had access to the statistics as to how many players have been caught cheating at the casinos but they do know that it has not been a problem.
Officials have stated that there are enough precautions in place to keep players from cheating. They have surveillance cameras in each casino as well as compliance officers. The state police also work with the casinos as well as the table game managers and other employees are keeping an eye out.
In the state, if a player is found cheating they can be charged with a misdemeanor or they can face a felony offense. The player would face prison time if they were charged with such an offense and also a fine. The fine amount would depend on the specific crime. However officials in Pennsylvania do not seem to be too concerned with players trying to cheat at table games such as craps and blackjack.
