Table games are a common option in Atlantic City and Las Vegas, and have been for many years. However in other cities across the United States, table games are relatively new. The state of Pennsylvania decided to add table games this time last year and now the Presque Isle Downs is one of many gaming facilities in the state celebrating the one year anniversary of the addition of table games. Today, July 8th, marks the one year anniversary of the addition of craps, blackjack, roulette and other table games. Presque Isle Downs and two other casinos in the state were the first to offer the new table games one year ago.
The Presque Isle Downs is one of the smaller casinos in the state and they have forty four table games that offer visitors craps, blackjack, roulette and more. The casino has done well since the addition of the table games and the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board is happy with the casinos table games performance.
Kevin O’Toole the executive director of the board commented: “It has been a successful first year for the table games at all casinos, and our expectations for both revenue and jobs have been met.”
Thousands of jobs were produced with the addition of the new table games so, not only did the games bring in additional revenue to the state but it also helped those in the state who were in dire need of a job.
The games were also welcomed by patrons. Gamblers were glad to have more gaming options than the traditional slot games and lottery style games that were the only options at the gaming facilities. Craps, blackjack and roulette gave gamblers more games to enjoy with larger betting options.
