Table games such as craps and roulette are quite popular in most every land casino. These types of table games were added to the Sands Casino in Pennsylvania and have shown their popularity by creating much revenue for the state. However, when comparing the same table games at Sands casinos in Macau and Singapore, the numbers are not so great. The Sands Casino in Pennsylvania recently released a report on the table games such as craps and roulette. The report showed that each table game is pulling in over $2,500 in revenue per day at the land casino. This is a very large amount and is second in the state.
However, the report also showed the figures for the Sands casino in Macau and Singapore. The same casinos in this area are bringing in at least five figures per day. The figures for Asia are better than any Sands casino in the states. Gamblers flock to Macau which is known as a major gambling city. More high rollers visit these casinos and they are able to wager more funds than those who are visiting the Pennsylvania casino.
Harvey Perkins is the executive vice president of spectrum Gaming group which is a group of global gambling analysts. Perkins commented that it is not fair to put Pennsylvania’s numbers in the same category as the Asia numbers. Perkins stated Gambling in Asia is without parallel. Perkins stated:
“In Macau, we’re talking about packed VIP rooms you can’t even get into without a bankroll of $200,000. We have nothing like that here. Even Vegas can’t compare.”
Perkins went on to say that the casinos in Asia do so well because Asian gamblers love to play at table games such as craps, roulette and blackjack and they love to place large wagers. Also the majority of the revenue brought in from Macau is due to VIP gamblers.
