The Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem in Pennsylvania could be able to offer patrons craps and other table games very soon. The state of Pennsylvania is looking for new ways to raise money for their large budget and they may soon legalize the games in the state. If table games such as craps and poker were to be allowed at Pennsylvania casinos then the state would be able to use the revenue earned to help the state budget. If table games are installed they are expected to earn around $200 million in revenue for the state in one year and $121 million by 2011.
The vice president of brand marketing for Sands Casino, Jason Nibauer, commented that addition of table games at the casino would tremendously affect business at the casino. Nibauer commented: “Table games are the No. 1 request we get from our guests. It completes our offering. What is nice about the table game’s guest is that they stay longer and utilize more amenities like restaurants and shopping.”
Nibauer went on to say: "In addition, having a full range of games allows us to meet the needs of couples and groups who have different gaming preferences. For example, if a married couple wanted to go to a casino and the husband likes craps and the wife enjoys the slots, the Sands would not be in their current consideration set. Thus, we expect table games to improve slot revenue as well."
If the games are allowed then The Sands Casino would be able to add table games in a range of 80 to 100. This would increase traffic as well as job availability.
