Criminals in prison in the United States have the right to appeal their convictions if the court sees fit. Those who choose to appeal hope to have their sentence reduced or overturned. A Tennessee man recently appealed his conviction in a Connecticut court for cheating a casino in the state at the craps tables. The Connecticut court listed to forty five year old Richard S. Taylor’s appeal on his 2009 conviction however they did not choose to appeal the sentence. Taylor will remain in prison for the cheating scam he helped create at two different Connecticut casinos.
Taylor, of Memphis, is currently serving a ten year sentence for creating a craps cheating scam back in 2008. Taylor was not sentenced in 20098 after he was caught recruiting casino dealers to help him place late bets.
Taylor was called Mr. Casino by investigators and apparently his luck has finally run out. The craps scammer will have to finish his sentence for cheating the casino unless he wants to try and appeal his case again however, the evidence against Taylor is strong and he may decide to not pursue an appeal again.
