High rollers enjoy hitting the craps, blackjack and many other gaming tables and those who have big bank rolls like to have the least amount of chips on hand. So if you could only have $1,000 as your biggest demonization in chips it might stop many high rollers from playing large amounts of money. That is why the Tropicana Casino and Resort wants to introduce $25,000 chips in their casino. The $25,000 chips would do away with players having to carry around a large amount of $1,000 chips, especially if they want to have a large amount available, like $75,000. The casino has asked the New Jersey Casino Control Commission for approval to add the $25,000 chips.
Steve Callender the vice president of table games at the Tropicana commented: “It’s going to be a high-end guy. We have a few customers like that. Callender was commenting on what type of gamblers would be using the $25,000 chips.
The chips are already being used at other Atlantic City casinos such as the Caesars Atlantic City and Harrah’s Resort so it makes perfect sense to make them available at the Tropicana as well. The request sent in by Tropicana is currently being reviewed by the Casino Control Commission. It has not been announced as to whether or not the request will be up for a vote.
So it looks as though gamblers at the Tropicana will have to wait a little while longer before they will find out if they will have access to the $25,000 chips or if the request made by the casino will be denied.
