Back in September 2010, Brent Eli Morris was arrested for playing craps and trying to cheat the casino. This was not the best decision in the world but it was made worse by the fact that Morris is already blacklisted from casinos in the area. He has now been sentenced to eight to twenty years in jail. After the incident in September, Morris headed to court this past March and he was convicted of felony commission of a fraudulent act in a gaming establishment, otherwise known as cheating. There was also another trial held for Morris and the judge found him guilty of four gross misdemeanors. These charges steamed from Morris going to the casino when he was not supposed to. He was also charged with being a habitual criminal who carries a longer prison term.
Morris has been banned from the casinos in Las Vegas since 1994. He spent years in prison prior to the banning after he cheated at a Lake Tahoe Casino. Last year, Morris used the method known as Past Post Betting to try and cheat the casino. Morris would slip his chips into the winning numbers after the dice had been rolled.
After casino security figured out what he was doing he was quickly apprehended. It was later found out that Morris had been at the Excalibur a few days prior playing craps as well. It was also found that he had been at The Orleans due to the fact that he still had several gaming chips from that casino as well. Morris apparently was traveling to several casinos, even though he has been banned from all casinos in the entire state.
